YARNIE RULES & TERMS OF SERVICE
Upon joining the Official Yarnies Group, you agree to follow these rules.
CORE RULES
“Copying” Yarnies: As the species owner I am in no position to tell you to not draw cats made of any real life material. Though you may become suspect if you are seen:
▶ Claiming your work as an (un)official Yarnie. ▶ Copying, replicating, or tracing Patchwork Patterns, Beads, and/or Trinkets that were not designed yourself (Player-Made and Group-Made). ▶ Replicating a design portrayed on any official Yarnie that is not owned by you. ▶ Using Trinkets, Beading, Patchwork in a nearly identical technique as Yarnies. ▶ Creating an ARPG using nearly identical (themed) game mechanics without notice. Reselling Yarnies: You are allowed to resell your Yarnies at any point. Resales hosted by you must be flatsale or best offer only; No auctions. You cannot resell gifted, raffled, or giveaway event Yarnies (any Yarnie you received for free). It is highly recommended that you do not sell to people who are not a member of the Yarnie group, we want to keep track! When the time comes to resell your Yarnie, you must contact the mods for confirmation. When you resell your Yarnie, their Loved level resets to 0 for the new owner. Trading Yarnies: You may only trade Yarnie for Yarnie. Traded Yarnies also reset their Loved level to 0. When it is time to trade Yarnies, you must send a note to mods for confirmation. It is optional to create interaction art of the two Yarnies, which you can send to a mod along with the trade confirmation. The minimum requirements for interaction art must be flat colored fullbody. Doing this only cuts the Yarnies Loved level in half for the new owners. Gifting Yarnies: Gifting is permitted, and the Loved level of the Yarnie does not reset due to the past owner’s generosity. If you personally would like to gift one of your Yarnies to another member, you must send a message to the mods for confirmation. Event Yarnies given out in raffles or giveaways may come with a preset Loved level. |
MYO SYSTEM
Material Identity Law: Members who have had the opportunity to incorporate a Godlike Tier fur material into any of their Yarnies are covered under the Material Identity Law. In short, the custom material you have chosen is yours and cannot be used again unless another member asks you for permission. If you decide to sell/trade/gift a Yarnie covered under this law, the rights to the material are given to the new owner.
To keep things fair and full of variety, color variation of the materials are allowed. So say that you chose to use white extension cord for your Godlike fur material, another member would be allowed to choose any other colored extension cord besides white. The actual material is not your identity, rather the color and material are. In order to keep things organized, there will be a public list of all materials used and by whom. Moderators will reference this list when reviewing new Yarnie designs to ensure no duplicates are used without permission. If you are granted permission from another member to use the same material, valid proof must be presented, and a Moderator will message the member personally for confirmation. The first keyword is Patchwork. About MYO Fabric: MYO patchwork fabrics designed with copyrighted themes or characters (ie., Pokemon, Deadpool, Nirvana) can absolutely not be sold for any real life currency. These fabrics are only allowed to be sold for the ARPG currency or given away for free, because we do not want to get in trouble! We do not allow or condone designing patchwork fabric with highly sexual themes, nudity, or extreme gore. Fabric with these themes will simply not be accepted. Keep it PG-13! No two MYO fabric designs can have the same name. Mods will review the fabric database before accepting a fabric to ensure that there are no duplicates. |
STRIKE SYSTEM
There are two versions of the strike system. One is specifically for the ARPG, the other is for the actual species group.
The Group Strike System can be unforgiving, so it should be in your best interest to read and follow the Species Rules appropriately.
▶ Behavior Warning: This is only the case if the Member has done something petty that does not involve damage to the Species as a whole, but does involve distress in other Members (ie., Starting drama, ‘sore loser’ mentality, witch hunting, “forgetting” trades or offers). Though this is not enough to be considered breaking a Species Rule, the Member will receive a severe warning for their actions. If the same Member is reported again for similar behavior, the Member will receive a Strike. ▶ 1st Strike: When a Member of the group breaks any of the Species Rules or are a repeat offender for bad behavior. These Members will be added to the public “Caution Members” List. ▶ 2nd Strike: Member is now perma-banned from the Group and ARPG. All inventory and currency attached to the ARPG account will be wiped and deleted. Member is now added to the public “Banned Members” List. |
The ARPG Strike System is a completely separate entity from the Group system. You would gain a strike here if you do not follow the ARPG rules and are seen cheating or abusing the system. With each strike, your experience in the APRG may be limited.
▶ 1st Strike: Player will receive a severe warning about their behavior. This strike may be repealed with the process found below. ▶ 2nd Strike: Player is banned from participating in the appropriate activity related to the cause of their 2nd strike and possibly the 1st (given the severity or repeat offense). Player is now added to the private “Sketchy ARPG Members” List. ▶ 3rd Strike: Player is now banned from participating in the ARPG side of the species. All inventory and currency attached to the account will be wiped and deleted. Player is now added to the public “Banned ARPG Members” List. |
REPEAL A STRIKE
On the rare occasion, you can have the opportunity to repeal only your first ARPG Strike. Three months after the strike was applied, you may send in a repeal ticket. Depending on the severity of the Strike, the Moderators will deliberate on whether or not your strike can be repealed.
