AGE + VISIBLE WEAR
When you design your first Yarnie you will have to choose which age it will start out as: Kitten or Adult. Each age stage comes with its own benefits, and it is only up to your personal preference. Your fist Yarnie cannot be an elder.
Your Yarnie can age up any time after they have been in their current age group for 2 full weeks (14 Days). When you age them up, you must make a new reference to represent their age. Each age group may come with exclusive challenges that only they can participate in. So it would be efficient to own at least one of each age group.

KITTEN
Kittens are much smaller than an adult Yarnie. Their features are far less defined than older Yarnies. Due to their age, their colors are often more vibrant than adults or elders. If you choose a Kitten as your first Yanrie, you cannot acquire another Yarnie until you age up your first one to an adult.
Kitten Breakdown:

+ Little to no visual wear
+/- Smaller, Chibi-esque style

ADULT
Adults are usually the largest out of all the age groups. Their features are much more defined. Due to their age, the colors in their fur begin to fade (especially unnatural, bright colors). As they are older, they begin to experience slight wear.
Adult Breakdown:

+ Can own another Yarn Cat if this is your first one
+/- Larger, more realistic style

ELDER
Elder: Elder Yarnies have been through a lot of tough love! Their love can easily be seen through distressed fur (holes, stains), or even missing limbs. Due to their age, almost all of their colors are severely faded, and may turn to white. If your Yarn Cat has seen the rest of it’s days, you can take them to the Deconstruction Table to salvage parts for more Yarnies!
Elder Breakdown:
+ Most accessory slots of all age groups (Unlimited)
+ Only age group that can be taken to the Deconstruction Table
+/- Distressed style
- Extreme wear
- Most colors become exceedingly faded
