ESSENTIAL FEATURES
Fur Material: This is the base of your furry (or not so furry) creation. Some of the materials listed use very general terms, and cover a wide variety of types (ex., Rope can be Nylon Rope, Manila Rope, etc.) so your creativity is not extremely limited!:
🌑 Yarn, Sewing Thread, Twine, Knitting Wool 🌑 Pipe Cleaner, Rope, Leather Strips 🌑 Shiny/Metallic dipped Yarn, Ribbon, Plastic Lacing Cord 🌑 Any real-life material that can be wrapped around the wire skeleton realistically (must have permission to use material from a Mod) Fur Color: Your Yarn Cat’s fur can be dyed in a number of colors, and in any which design you choose! Though yarn and rope type materials can be dyed, you may have to choose wisely for your non-dyeable materials such as metals or plastics:
🌑 Any natural color found on real domestic cats 🌑 Any unnatural color not found on real domestic cats 🌑 Shiny Two-Toned Iridescent (two colors that change depending on viewpoint) 🌑 Shiny Opalescent/Glow-in-the-Dark |
Fur Pattern: Your pattern determines the layout of your fur threads. In order to add hybrids or mixtures of different fur types, you must have the correct Fur Materials to do so when you craft your Yarnie.
🌑 Horizontal/Vertical Threads 🌑 Wavy/Diagonal Threads 🌑 Spiral/Tiger Stripe Threads 🌑 Cross-Stitched/Braided Threads 🌑 Custom Fur Pattern Tail Shape: A Yarn Cat’s tail has no wiring in it, so that means it can be tied and tangled in a variety of unique ways. Each rarity has a tail quantity linked to it. The number of tails you want is completely optional, the number of tails only set a guideline for the maxinum numer you can have in a rarity.
🌑 Natural/Plain + Single Tail 🌑 Braided/Knotting + Single Tail 🌑 Docked/Corkscrew + Double Tail 🌑 Bow/Looped/Dreads + Tri or Quad Tail 🌑 Custom Tail Shape + Infinite Tail Number |
OPTIONAL ACCESSORIES
Beading: Beads are applied to the fur in the similar fashion as you would add beads to a necklace, only the necklace is the fur threads. Beads can be added in any location and in any pattern you want (yes, even the tail!) and have no size restriction. There is no limit on how many beads can be attached to a Yarnie. Beads you acquire from Reward Rolls or the Store are completely custom, so it’s up to you to design them!
Beads are acquired through Reward Rolls, or through special events. Beads given out at events are one of a kind, and should be cherished! Thread Stoppers: When a thread of a Yarn Cats fur comes to an end (or even breaks apart due to wear), thread stoppers are often attached to prevent further distress to that thread (ie., unraveling, serious breakage). Thread stoppers are usually made out of metals in the form of a “cap” shape (similar to metal tassel caps) and are attached to the end of the thread. The latter and more inexpensive method to thread stoppers is tying a knot at the end of the thread or even tucking it into the body. Stoppers can be attached anywhere where there is breakage.
Yarn Cats can also have trinkets attached to the end of the stopper. This not only adds a personal touch but can also add some weight to the stopper, which can help prevent further unravelling. Trinkets can be added directly to the loop at the end of the Stopper or to a thin chain/string that is attached to the loop (to add length). Stoppers with trinkets come in many different sizes depending on rarity. 🌑 Plain Stopper Cap (No Trinkets) 🌑 Small/Short Trinket Chain 🌑 Medium Trinket Chain 🌑 Large/Long Trinket Chain |
Trinkets: Trinkets are attached to a very thin, dainty ring or chain/string. The ring is applied in the same manner as beads, only the trinkets move wherever gravity takes it. Trinkets are only limited by your imagination, and can be almost anything you want.
Trinket shapes are made from certain materials that have their own respective rarity. 🌑 Wood, Clay, Silver Metals, Yarn, Needle Felt 🌑 Non-Silver Metals, Gemstones/Minerals, Fabric, Leather 🌑 Custom Trinket Material Accessory Fabric: Unique shapes of fabric can be sewn on top of your Yarnie’s Fur Threads. The patches can be of almost any shape, and of any size. There is no limit to how many patches you can have on a single Yarnie, and they can overlap. The string you use to attach the patchwork can be any color or material you want. You may also use this fabric in a Yarnie's tail design or incorporated in trinkets.
You can buy most of the pre-made patterns at the Shop. On the rare occasion, you can even design your own fabric pattern (if you’re quick enough to grab a MYO from the shop) that you can use yourself or even sell/trade to others! |
